General information:

In 1976 he graduated from the Molodechno Polytechnic College (with honors). In 1981 he graduated from the Mogilev Technological Institute (now BSUT, with honors). From 1983 to 1986 he studied in the graduate school of the Moscow State Textile Institute named after A.N. Kosygin. In 1987 he defended his candidate's dissertation. In 1990 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor. From 1996 to 1999 he studied in the doctoral program of the Moscow State Textile Academy named after A.N. Kosygin. In 1999 he defended his doctoral dissertation. In 2003 he was awarded the academic title of professor.

1987–1988 Assistant of the Department of Heat and Cooling Engineering of the Mogilev Technological Institute.

1988–1996 Associate Professor of the Department of Thermal and Cooling Engineering at the Mogilev Technological Institute.

1999–2001 Professor of the Department of Thermal and Cooling Engineering at the Mogilev Technological Institute.

2003–2006 Head of the Department of Thermal and Cooling Engineering at the Educational Institution “Mogilev State University of Food Science”.

In 2006, he was appointed Vice-Rector for Research at the Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies. He still works there.

Author of over 420 scientific and educational-methodical works, including 2 monographs, 1 textbook and 3 teaching aids with the stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, over 80 author's certificates and patents. He has introduced into production over 60 vortex dust collectors and dryers of various types and modifications.

Chairman of the Council for the Defense of Doctoral and Candidate Dissertations at the Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies. Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the University. Member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Belgospischeprom Concern. Member of the Presidium of the Committee on the Problems of Drying and Thermal and Humidity Treatment of Materials at the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Organizations.

In 2001, he was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Inventor of the Republic of Belarus".

In 2016, he was a Laureate of the International Prize named after Academician A.V. Lykov.

Areas of scientific interests
Research in the field of theory and technology of swirling flows and development of highly efficient devices for carrying out hydromechanical and heat and mass transfer processes of food and chemical technology. Physical laws of motion and interaction of gas and solid phases in vortex devices for carrying out processes of dust collection, separation, drying and other technological processes of food technology have been established. A new classification of swirling flows has been created and directions for improving technological processes and devices have been formulated.
