THE POWER LEGITIMIZATION STRATEGIES IN THE DE FACTO STATES
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of power legitimization strategies in the de facto states. The author singles out the internal and external (international) aspects of power legitimization. The internal strategy aims to ensure political stability and order in de facto state. The goal of the external (international) strategy is the de facto recognition of the state by the international community. The authorities use such technologies as “reassessment” of history, democratization and “search for a strong patron” for achieving internal and external legitimacy.
