The author's conceptual theoretical approaches of foreign classics of political science and modern Russian research centers are presented. The regional originality of the political process in its institutional, communicative, informational and regulatory aspects is considered. The article describes the diversity of the relationship between the supreme power and the regional interpretation of political structures.
