ON THE THEORIES EXPLAINING PEOPLE’S ENTRY ON THE PATH OF TERROR
Abstract
The article elucidates the theoretical aspects of individual behaviour of people who set foot on the path of fulfillment acts of terrorism. The basic theories are presented which allow comprehending the preconditions of formation of beliefs of individuals leading them into the field of terror. A well-known weakening of attention of criminologists to the comprehension of contemporary manifestations of terrorism is noticed. RMerton's strain theory is disclosed as a theoretical basis for understanding the phenomenon of radicalization of individuals' behavior
