В статье анализируется роль Европейского союза (ЕС) вовнутриполитических процессах в странах региона Южного Кавказа в начале XXI века. Отмечается, чтоЕвропейская политика соседства (ЕПС) была направлена на развитие ЕС привилегированных отношений с этими странами. Между тем оказываемая имфинансовая помощь была связана с рядом важных условий, таких как развитие демократии, упрочение верховенства правауважение прав человека.Ускоренное продвижение какой-либо из этих странпо пути реформирования политической системы гарантировала получение приоритетного места среди получателей европейской помощи.
The article analyzes the role of the European Union (EU) in the internal political processes in the countries of the South Caucasus region at the beginning of the XXI century. It is noted that the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) was aimed at developing the EU's privileged relations with these countries. Meanwhile, the financial assistance provided to them was associated with a number of important conditions, such as the development of democracy, the strengthening of the rule of law, and respect for human rights. The accelerated progress of any of these countries on the path of reforming the political system guaranteed a priority place among the recipients of European aid.
